Hi!  I'm in Salamanca, Spain and this is my blog.  I'm going to talk to you about many things I've done and places that I've been.  I've been to the Plaza Mayor.  It's a big plaza where there are gelatos, food, jewelry, and this upcoming May, the Plaza Mayor is going to have a big book festival!  They will sell stickers and I might put one on my scooter if I have one.

Each day, we get up in the morning and go to a place called ISLA to learn Spanish (only my mom, not me).  Then we go to a cafe and eat churros.  If you want to know what they are, they're like bread and you can dip them in sugar or chocolate and they're really good.  Then my mom works or goes to the university to teach.  Later, we eat with our friend Beatriz.  Today we ate rice, chicken and tomato sauce.  The rice was in the shape of a volcano and the tomato sauce was dripping from the rice so it looked kind of like a volcano.

Too bad for you that you're in North Carolina because I get to stay up until 11:00.  Over here in Spain, at 8:00 or 9:00 when it's dark in North Carolina, it's still light.  But at 11:00 or 12:00 it's time to go to bed.  Also here in Spain we usually eat dinner at 9:00 or 9:30.  It's very late, but it's still light out.  It's fun being over here.

If any of you or your parents want to come here, the weather is not too nice right now.  The weather says it's going to rain every day.  It is definitely cold.  If you're like me, you would be freezing.

These are some pictures that my mom took.  The first picture is of me in the Parque de los Jesuitas, about two or three blocks away from us.  We can get there very fast.  The second picture is of some colleagues of my mom's in the Plaza Mayor at night.  The next picture is me with a statue near the Plaza Mayor.  The fourth one is me in el Parque de los Jesuitas again.  The fifth one is my mom's colleagues at the university.

Goodbye!  See you next time at aventurasdebenji.blogspot.com!

Hello from Cherokee

Hi!  My name is Benji and I'm going to talk to you about different interesting places I went and different foods. Right now I am in our friend Lisa's house in Cherokee, a place where Cherokee Indians live.  I'm here with my mom for meetings.  We have one tonight at 6:00.  I've been eating some new foods (I will show pictures on this blog), playing frisbee golf, and going to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There is a cool museum in the park that I visited.  Click here to learn more about the park

Well, look at some of the new foods.  I am going to show you some pictures.  Now, let's begin with guacamole.  If you look at the picture, it's that green stuff.  So if you ever go to a place that has green stuff, it's usually guacamole.  Now there's another picture showing some more foods.  I tried a chimichanga.  It had a lot of meat just wrapped up.  That's really all it is.  Meat all wrapped up in a tortilla.  It's really good.  It's one of the best things I've tried.
